Well, hope byCycle is back up again. I use it all the time for work and personal trips and have even donated a few bucks in the past. If it’s the server is fried and there’s nothing anyone can do, then thanks for a great service while it lasted!
Ack! Best of luck!
I will miss you while you are down. You are still much better than Google Maps
nooooooooooooooooooo! i use this site on an almost daily basis! i love it soooo much and it really helps me navigate portland on my bike. i would be lost without it
i have told many friends who live in other cities about bycycle.org and they are all so incredibly amazed that such a thing exists; they think it is wonderful and we’ve talked about trying to petition other cities in the usa to join or provide a similarly useful system that supports safe and easy bicycling! we need more of this, not less, please!!!!
p.s. is there anything i, or we the public, can do to help?!?!
Sad face! I hope bycycle.org is up soon.
It’s way better than Google Transit bicycling directions because it actually takes into account dangerous streets.
I hope you can figure it out and come back online! This is such a valuable service!
Yikes! We hope you are back online soon. Let me know if I can be of assistance.
not good… how can i help?
Any other trip planing sites for Portland that actually work?!
I’m really missing bycycle in PDX. Gmail isn’t up to scratch yet and I’m getting bizarre routes.
I miss this site.
Sept. 5th – I see nothing yet that this site is active. Google Maps now has a bicycle route planning feature; my husband says it’s not as good as this one, but it does work. Check it out
.
I am so sorry to hear this. Thank you for the great service byCycle has provided.
This was such an amazing site. I couldn’t believe it existed when I discovered it. If there’s any way the public can help get it up again, I’d be happy to pitch in. If not, thanks for the terrific service!
Still down?! Ack! What can we do!?
Can you retrieve the code from a backup? I have space on a web server & might be willing to share.
Please come back bycycle! I miss you!
