I never reviewed Pylons as a whole, but did look into Myghty and SQLAlchemy a while back.  They came up when I was looking for HTML::Mason ports and an ORM layer that enabled taking advantage of sophisticated back-end functionality.  Things like eager loading in SQLAlchemy will be really useful during the transition to PostGIS, and HTML::Mason is massively well proven by Amazon, et. al.</description>
